Serving Caregivers

As we end 2025 and move into 2026, our work is dedicated to shining a light on the caregivers of our nation’s service members and veterans—the hidden heroes who often sacrifice their own well-being while supporting those who served. Caregivers play a vital role in the healing and stability of military families, yet their needs are too often overlooked. Together, we have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our Service Members, Veterans and their families who are caregivers and recipients of care.

Through our newly appointed project with the Suicide Prevention and Opioid Addiction Services Program under the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, we aim to uplift caregivers by providing spaces for connection, access to wellness and respite activities, behavioral health screenings, and referrals to trusted providers. By focusing on caregiver support, we strengthen not only the individuals providing care, but also the service members and veterans who rely on them.

Our program emphasizes inclusivity, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed care to ensure caregivers feel seen, valued, and supported. We host regular events designed to ease stress, improve overall well-being, and connect caregivers with peer networks and professional resources.

We invite you to attend an upcoming event or check out our resources!

If your organization shares our commitment to honoring and supporting military and veteran caregivers, I would love to explore opportunities to collaborate. Whether through co-hosted events, resource sharing, or innovative programs, together we can build a stronger safety net for those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.

Please feel free to reach out to us at (703) 596-5861 or  supremehomecare1522@gmail.com at one of our upcoming caregiver-focused events. You can learn more on our website or contact me directly at SMVFVA2024@gmail.com.
